Maxine Harley“I am the creator of ‘The Ripple Effect’ Process – a comprehensive

programme of Psycho-Emotional-Education in the form of 10

online self-help workshops – which offer a ‘Whole-

Brain & Holistic’ approach to psychological, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.”

Maxine Harley (MSc Integrative Psychotherapy)

I have been a counsellor and psychotherapist since 1995 and I have a Masters Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy. Over the years I’ve become more and more aware of the gaps that exist in what traditional counselling, psychotherapy and coaching have to offer.

I’ve created ‘The Ripple Effect’ Process to fill those gaps and to offer a Whole-Brain & Holistic approach – which is very different from the narrow focus of other approaches.

I’m a great believer in de-mystifying therapy and giving people information and skills to improve their own lives. Psycho-Emotional-Education ‘educates’ you both psychologically and emotionally, and it enhances your self-awareness, self-empowerment and choices. It gives you the tools to live a better life.

When you improve yourself and become the best version of you this has an effect upon everyone you are in contact with. The ripple effect of beneficial change then extends to the lives of your children, family, colleagues and friends.

We are all unique and complex beings who need a fully integrated and comprehensive approach to our needs. One size does not fit all.

The 10 workshop modules of ‘The Ripple Effect’ Process modules offer you a brief yet very effective type of learning and emotional growth.

(Psycho-Emotional-Education is much more than, and differs from, basic Psycho-Education – which is defined as ‘providing education to people with a mental illness’. Wikipedia 2013)

How is The Ripple Effect Process different to ‘therapy’?

‘The Ripple Effect’ Process is different from therapy because it is primarily about learning and change. We learn what has shaped who we are, and how to make the changes we desire.

It also differs from therapy because the modules can each be taken as a stand-alone or they can lead onto other modules.

Competing all 10 modules will cost you much less than a few sessions of counselling therapy or coaching  – which wouldn’t offer you anywhere near the same level of self-understanding, learning and real opportunities for change, as TREP does. (TREP – The Ripple Effect Process)

Many people are averse to ‘going for therapy’ and for many reasons (see Q&A page) or even averse to being seen as someone who might need psychological or emotional help.
‘The Ripple Effect’ Process may well give you all the information and help you need, without the need for any ongoing therapy.

Or you may become aware that in-person therapy would also be helpful to you – and you’ll then already have given yourself a huge head-start!

The 10 modules of ‘The Ripple Effect’ Process are like the ‘droplets’ that cause a ripple effect in you and those around you. I want you to create your best ripples possible, and the modules of TREP will show you how!

Some more profound difficulties such as severe childhood abuse and trauma, acute Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder, chronic attachment disorder, or protracted grief are more suited to the emotional containment of one-to-one sessions with a psychotherapist.

‘BUY THE BOOK’ – the book about how and why I created the modules of ‘The Ripple Effect’ Process – an introduction to Psycho-Emotional-Education (update: since writing the book I have now made the modules of TREP available in a self-help online format. I have also changed to a ten module programme)
